No Touch + Forehead Thermometer (NTF3000)
Question: What should I do if my thermometer is displaying an Err message?
Answer: This message displays when measured temperature is lower than 93.9 °F (34.4 °C) or higher than 108 °F (42.2 °C). Please make sure the protective cap is removed from the unit and Re-measure the temperature again. It will also display when the ambient temperature is outside the operating range of 59 °F-104 °F (15°C-40°C). Please allow the thermometer to remain in a room that is within this range for 30 minutes prior to using the unit.
Question: What is the best way to achieve an accurate reading from my No Touch Forehead thermometer?
Answer:
Let the thermometer and individual being measured acclimate to the temperature of the room in which the measurement will be taken.
The thermometer needs to acclimate to the room temperature for 10 minutes before taking a measurement.
The individual being measured should be indoors for 30 minutes before taking a measurement. External temperature can impact skin temperature.
Ensure that the individual’s forehead is prepared for measurement.
Wipe away any sweat with a dry cloth. Sweat can cool skin resulting in a false reading.
Ensure that the forehead is clean. If you clean the forehead, wait 10 minutes before taking a measurement.
Hair can insulate the forehead and make it slightly warmer. Make sure to move hair away from the forehead and wait 10 minutes before taking a measurement.
