As a Mother you need to know how to tell if your Baby is sick and what to do about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the Signs Your Baby is Sick?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mothers get to know the normal behaviour of their Baby quickly and can recognize when something is not right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to know what to look for and have the best tools available to get your answers and get them quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most Doctor\u2019s agree that a fever or high temperature is the most common indicator of how to tell if your Baby is sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not recognizing and acting on a high fever can be dangerous. It is important to get your Baby to the Pediatrician when the fever is over 101.5\u00b0F\/38.61\u00b0C\u00a0(but let your Doctor decide).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I take my Baby\u2019s Temperature and what are my Options?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s take a step back in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mercury-in-glass thermometer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctors do not recommend using Mercury-in-glass thermometer as there are too many risks in terms of breakage and difficulty reading them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital stick thermometer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do not recommend you use digital stick thermometers orally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital stick thermometers are only recommended to be used rectally or under the armpit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must be very careful to clean these digital stick thermometers before and after each use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rectal method is recommended with two people doing it which is not practical or convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t wait for my Husband to come home to take a temperature! ????<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My 8-month-old Son is constantly moving and always active when he\u2019s awake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can see in my video how much he moves around so I can\u2019t keep the digital stick thermometer under his arm for more than a second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t be sure I am taking a good reading with these digital stick thermometers. ????<\/p>\n\n\n\n
